Last Saturday, gents 3 went on a journey all the way to the north of Enschede to play The Jugglers. The previous match against this team resulted in a loss, so they knew it wasn’t going to be an easy game.
In the first quarter, both teams started off with a few quick points and the score was even when the first 5 minutes of Q1 were over. Read more.
Last Sunday we had the annual New Years Tournament which was awesome! The board worked until deep in the night for the oliebollen and a lot of Arribans played a great tournament the following day and stayed until deep in the night at the BBQ at Arno’s place following the tournament. Thank you all, it was a great day!

With six people and three cars (and someone going by bike), gents 3 was going to their first match after the holiday. Last time Arriba defeated the Buzzards with a 13-point difference, but they would still have to work hard this game, especially since coach Klaas had other business to attend to. competed together from their childhood.
I first noticed old veteran Keoma-jaoquim, also played for Arriba back in the
gold age and is back in his old friends. Buzzards also happened to beat Scylla
(Gent’s one opponent and number 2 in the standings). Read more.
After having one weekend of being game free we could finally get back to
work against Twente Buzzards from Hengelo. Too bad for us the Saint is back
in Holland so on paper we only had six players who could attend the game.
With most of us being well on time, Sjoerd managed to arrive just 15 minutes
before the game started. Read more.
Last Saturday it was the final chance for H2 to grab a win in 2017. After a gruesome period with loss after loss it was time to fight for the points. Before, the D1 obliterated the opponent with 107-7. Standards were high for this game day.
H2’s opponent was slightly more challenging. The Peatminers acquired a new centre, extending their big-man-pool to 3. Read more.
Super Saturday’s last game of the night was Gents 3’s time to shine. Playing against The Jugglers 4, the second team in the standings, it was again going to be a difficult game, playing the leading team the match before
Not many point were made during the first quarter of the game. Some missed free throws from both teams and a bit of careless ball handling meant that the quarter ended with only eight points for both teams. Read more.
