Letter of Clearance

THIS IS ONLY FOR PLAYERS IN COMPETITIVE TEAMS, (RECREATIONAL PLAYERS DON’T NEED IT)

For some players, we need to obtain a Letter of Clearance (LoC), which is a transfer document.

You will need a LoC if any of the following applies to you:
– You do not have the Dutch nationality and have never played competition basketball before.
– You do not have the Dutch nationality and the last time you played basketball competition was not for NBB (dutch league).
– You do have the Dutch nationality, but the last time you played basketball competition was not for NBB (dutch league).
NOTE: you do not need an LOC if you played at a dutch association right before you came to Arriba.
You can also follow this roadmap to see if this applies to your situation

COSTS
The cost of this LoC is 250 CH (Swiss Franks), which translates to €267, invoiced by the FIBA to Arriba.
D.B.V. Arriba pays for the LoC of their playing members according to the following guidelines:
D.B.V. Arriba pays 100% of the LoC for members that stay at least 3 years.
D.B.V. Arriba pays ⅓ of the LoC for every year with a maximum of 3 years

METHOD OF PAYING
Arriba pays €89 (⅓)per year. So the first year, new members will have to pay €178(⅔) themselves, distributed over different incassos. For the next two years €89 (⅓) will be deducted from the membership fees.
In order for Arriba to request your LoC, members should fill the following questionnaire and provide all necessary documents requested in it.
